Strichartz Inequality for Orthonormal Functions
We prove a Strichartz inequality for a system of orthonormal functions, with an optimal behavior of the constant in the limit of a large number of functions. The estimate generalizes the usual Strichartz inequality, in the same fashion as the Lieb-Thirring inequality generalizes the Sobolev inequality. As an application, we consider the Schrödinger equation in a time-dependent potential and we ...
متن کاملThe Sobolev Inequality on the Torus Revisited
We revisit the Sobolev inequality for periodic functions on the d-dimensional torus. We provide an elementary Fourier analytic proof of this inequality which highlights both the similarities and differences between the periodic setting and the classical ddimensional Euclidean one.

متن کاملAnalyticity of Extremals to the Airy Strichartz Inequality
We prove that there exists an extremal function to the Airy Strichartz inequality ‖e−t∂3 xf‖L8t,x(R×R) ≤ C‖f‖L2(R), by using the linear profile decomposition. Furthermore we show that, if f is an extremal, then f is exponentially decaying in the Fourier space and so f can be extended to be an entire function on the complex domain.
متن کاملA Counterexample to an Endpoint Bilinear Strichartz Inequality
The endpoint Strichartz estimate ‖ef‖L2 t L x (R×R) . ‖f‖L2 x (R) is known to be false by the work of Montgomery-Smith [2], despite being only “logarithmically far” from being true in some sense. In this short note we show that (in sharp constrast to the Lpt,x Strichartz estimates) the situation is not improved by passing to a bilinear setting; more precisely, if P, P ′ are non-trivial smooth F...
